maybe. but I doubt his contracts and sponsors etc would let him just walk out of spite. there must be something pretty big going on here, and also likely something sudden (illness?). It this was something he was planning the team could have gone in a different direction signing a replacement months ago when the silly season was at it's peak and other driver options were still available.

You have to respect the man and his talents behind the wheel, zero doubt the still has it and then some.
Watched the press stuff on Nascar, he says it's just because he want's to focus on people around him. Coach says it came as a total shock to him.
