    Alloy wheels break when impacted. I am sure Nascar doesn't want a 200mph wheel going through the stands after a bump or brush with the wall. Once again they are showing their total disconnect from the fans with the elimination of 5 lugs and having pit stops actually factoring into the race. How hard is it to hit one giant nut vs 5, takes out more of the pit crew skills.

    Ford and GM need to start getting some usable technology out of their hundred million dollar investments. If this brings us cost effective one-lug wheels, that'd be awesome.
