    Wrap it and ride???

Toronto's newest condom, kid you not.

Toronto Public Health launched the third iteration of its city-branded condom on Friday, with a wrapper designed with the iconic “Toronto” sign at Nathan Phillips Square in mind.
Toronto city councillor and board of health chair Joe Mihevc said the condoms, whose wrappers have an image of the Toronto sign on them, are meant to encourage safe sex in all neighbourhoods of the city.
“We don’t want you to get sexually transmitted diseases and the best way to do that is that you use a condom, either a male condom or a female condom.”

As part of the campaign, teams went across the city to wrap bicycle seats with waterproof seat covers with the message “wrap it and ride” written on them.
The condom wrappers also have "Explore T.O." written on them.
Mihevc said Toronto Public Health and its partner agencies hand out approximately 3.8 million condoms each year in the city.
“It’s an important part of the message that needs to get out there — yes, have sex, but it needs to be safe,” Mihevc said.
The condoms can be found at any Toronto Public Health facility and any number of partner agencies focused on community health and wellbeing.

Does it make the bikes automatically stop at stop signs/lights? If not, then it's kind of useless.

I dunno, I think it's a clever advertising message campaign. And really, how much do a few printed plastic bags cost?

But does anybody actually use those bikes? I don't ever go downtown, so I don't know.

    Thumbs up

Another Left Wing waste of money.
The Bikes and the Domes, both dumb, when funded by the Taxpayer.

I used them once when i lived in high park but never after buying my own. They do get used but if I remember they didn't meet their usage targets... i could be wrong... again.
