You guys took a page outta my old playbook, "The Thread Jack"...
Just one old guy but doing what I can. Thanks for noticing.
Hope you secured your CPP last week...
Need to figure this car thing out.
If I bought a base unit, I would want to:
Lower
Exhaust
Gears 3:73 min. Don't know if they have 4:10 or whatever the current ratio's are
Wheels and tires
Shifter. Not sure if required though
It has been suggested by a good friend of this site I could order a base unit and add the track pack. This would give me:
The GT Performance Package includes:
• 19" X 9" (F) 19” X 9.5” (R) Ebony Black-Painted Aluminum Wheels
• 255/40R19 (F) 275/40R (R) Summer Only Tires
• Brembo™ Six-Piston Front Brake Calipers with Larger Rotors
• "Engine Turn" Aluminum Instrument Panel
• Gauge Pack (Oil Pressure and Vacuum)
• Heavy-Duty Front Springs
• K-Brace
• Larger Radiator
• Spoiler Delete
• Strut-tower Brace
• Unique Chassis Tuning
• Upsized Rear Sway Bar
• Unique Stability Control, EPAS & ABS Tuning
• TORSENŽ Differential with 3.73 Axle Ratio
The package seems reasonable, but
Wheels are alright, but not my fav
Upgrade suspension and brakes, but not sure if low enough (looking at Eibach Pro Kit)
No exhaust change that I can tell
Thoughts?
If I go base model with 18" wheels, I can use the wheels for snow tires. I bought it to drive it, not store it...
If it was me, track pack plus Recaro's would be perfect.
And leave the suspension, throw on an exhaust and I'm back to being cool again?
Yes exactly that. Closer to stock ride height will make it a bunch easier to live with as a DD.
On the flip side, track pack with Recaro cars always sell well when it's time to unload.
Of course that means your buying beers next time....................right?
Been a long time since the infamous JR Hooters parking lot no hands burn out.
Jezzus, that was a lifetime ago. New car would have line lock lol...
