For those of you who have never driven on a track in anger in the rain, its an experience NOT to be missed. Way easier on the car/tires/brakes, and you really find much higher traction limits than you suspect could be possible. Car control skills will be honed much more, the pucker factor is a no charge bonus, and at least it's more consistent than a cold track with hidden and inconsistent variations. Well worth the misery of being cold and damp IMO.
Sadly we're in Philly for the week, so I can't even rent a new SS Camaro to blow out the cobwebs and make Don et al use their blinker every couple of laps.
Wtf all week they said it was going to be sunny now they're calling for rain! What time does the event start?
^^^was trying to find that info also.
Past events have been:
9:00 gates open
9:30 drivers meeting
10:00 start your engines!
So I'm aiming to roll in between 9:00-9:30
GR should show up around 11'ish

Yes!! Leaving shortly
Unfortunately there was an incident at the track today. Car is worse for wear but driver got out ok, off to the hospital to get checked out. I'm asking anyone that has pictures of the incident or car itself PLEASE DO NOT POST. If the owner wishes to post em or asks for pics, cool, if not, no place for them here.
As for the day itself, couple peeps with mechanical issues, we dodged yet another bullet with the weather n had a great day.
Many thanks again to Joe for taking the lead n making the day happen.
Also thanks to all that attended, remember a fall day has been announced plus Mustangs at Mosport is in July.
I'm exhausted. I actually had to pull over on the way home and take a little break. Great day.
