I stopped the auto-update nonsense too. Next machine will be Apple. I have an old MacBook Pro, it's probably 10 years old and still runs pretty good.

I'm having a phone interview with a company in San Fransisco this afternoon. Problem is my wife also needs to find a company to hire her....

Looks like trudeau will win a majority next year... I'm just trying to cover my family's ass. Time to ditch this bitch of a pussy country and move on to the best country in the world.

Problem is it will take me a long time to get a job in the USA :/

I spent the last 15 years with Apple, never really had a problem other than making it play well with non Apple things. But we wanted to be able to more easily mesh work with home, and the kids are getting to that point where projects for school are going to be more prelivent. Been nothing but I pads around here for at least 5 years. So it was either buy one computer for home to mesh with work. Or replace all the computers at work with Apple.

Why is so much “preparation” required to make something not-illegal.

Am I being too simplistic in thinking that LESS law enforcement is required now, than was before?

Not really. Before it’s illigal flat out but now, it leagle but only to certain people (age) only at certain times. Not in certain amounts. Caused big upgrading to business in terms of company policy and enforcement. Just like alcohol. It’s legal but not acceptable at work. Not using equipment, driving.

So now it needs to be enforced and testable. Whole different ball game.
