Don’t get too down on yourself. As long as nobody was injured, that is the main thing. As others have said, cars can be repaired or replaced. Hang in there.
Really really sorry to hear this Gerry, glad you're okay though.
May want to have the mods do some editing, I'd hate to see the insurance companies come sniffing around here.

Thanks Stephen - my offer still stands on the k member its off the car I believe the condition is good its been a few years since I've looked at it - I'm just not sure if the t bird is a fox platform like some of the other fords....
