The fox mustang LX tailpipe tips go straight out while the GT's turn down, because of the bigger GT bumper. Is there any way to use straight tips on a GT without cutting the bumper? I'm talking about pre-made exhaust kits.

The tailpipes themselves on a GT drop lower than the LX to compensate for the bumper. With out heating and bending down the LX tips, it wont work properly.
Replace the rear bumper cover to a 93 Cobra one?

An exhaust shop or anyone with some decent skill can fit lx tails to a gt, and actually you don’t need to bend the tails much at all unless the car is lowered. To me it looks goofy though, and the proper/much better option is to use a Cobra bumper, but most exhaust kits say they “don’t work with 93 cobra”, even though they do, but they also need to be modified slightly to fit properly.
If it’s low just run gt tails. Lx tails below the bumper will scrape a lot, as well they’ll be very hard to get high enough above the axle to clear due to the low ride height.
Yeah I’ll get gt tail pipes. But now I can’t stop thinking that I’ll be compelled to splurge on a cobra bumper in a year or two and have funny looking tailpipes.
Do it now and be done. You know you want to
