With x regular oil changes from the get go, should never need it.
Odd can in the fuel tank = money well spent.

Sweet. I've been pretty religious with my oil changes. Every 5000ish. Full synthetic 5W50 Mobil1.

Some people found that the new 5.0 consumes oil. I haven't lost a drop yet and it's well past it's break in period. I guess it's all in the maintenance.

They could also be running 5W20. Pretty sure that's what non track pack cars call for. That's a pretty light oil. I wouldn't trust it.

One last foam question. I'm almost gonna need to fuel up. If I add a can of foam and fill it up is it ok to drive hard with the seafoam in there?

Thanks for the info guys, I will see if the ticking gets better or worse and go from there. Not gonna change the oil just yet since it was just done.

Yep, I've been running 10w30 in my stang since suggested by Rick. Smoke on cold start is almost 100% gone compared to pretty good smoke on previous oil.
I run the same in my Merc.

10W30 coffee? or the lighter stuff?

Did a 20 minute smoke show ensue?
