long shot, but maybe TFI? In my experience they're good, then bad, not intermittent but a quick thing to swap assuming you have a proven good spare.

Sounds like TFI or PIP problem.
I'd pull the distributor and replace both.
And the igintion coil for good measure - a bad coil can kill a new TFI and a bad TFI can kill a new coil - best to just shotgun it and replace all 3.
I’ve tried multiple TFI’s. Has a new motorcraft coil.
Must be a resistance measurement of the pick up coil?

IMHO...............start with confirming power in / power out of the ign switch is ok first.
Next time I drive it I’ll put my volt meter on the R/LG wire coming out of the ignition switch that powers the EEC relay. Hopefully it acts up

If it acts up at that wire, next check wire that feeds ign switch.
I'm assuming you've check n cleaned body and engine grounds?
There are two yellow wires at the ignition switch with all time 12v. Both seem to come from the starter solenoid for constant power. It’s stalls with both ignition switches I have.
And yes for cleaning grounds.

you tug on em at the solenoid to check for fusible link partially burnt?
I was digging in there last night. Plan on digging some more tonight
