I have not heard any recommendations for a staggered set-up for the road course.
I have minimal rubbing with 275 track tires mounted on 17"s. Track tires are wider than street tires, and some track tires are wider than others (my old Hoosier Cup's were wider than Nitto NT-05's). You will not rub on 275 street tires.
BECAUSE RACECAR
Thanks Matt
I can't wait to throw them on. I'm even thinking of throwing the battery back in so I can move the car to get to the other side.
I bought these last Sat and since then I've been having alot of racing day dreams Vrooom Vrooom!
Joel,
Forget the battery. Just install a winch.
BECAUSE RACECAR
Nice score, I have to admit anytime I have bought or sold anything mustang related its resulted in an hour conversation as well, a bunch of good people out there.
If it was me: I would run the staggered Cobra R's on the street with (whatever tire you choose). Then put a set of 275 drag radials on a pair of the remaining 17x9's. I would use your Bullitt style rims for a set of RC tires. Are they 17x9 as well?
LOL @ the winch

The Bullitt wheels are Stock from the Premium edition GT. soo... 17x8 So buying the 17x9s was always on my wish list!
These wheels are soo fat
Joel,
ran 305-35-18's on my old 2002,lowered and no problem with rubbing what so ever.....wish I had of went bigger(and not a drag radial)
2019 Roush Race Red RS3 Mustang GT
2019 White Jeep Cherokee 4x4 Ltd
2019 Chevy Equinox AWD
^^^ So what your saying is that with these drag radials I will be really slow and hold up traffic on the elephants back in the rain?
Joel,
