Hey Brad,
good to meet you yesterday.
My answer is not quite so simple
I am using electric gauges in the car, I have had some concern that the water temp gauge/ sending unit is not reading accurately once the car starts getting pushed (ie track days) as the temperature has been increasing dramatically (90-100 degrees C on the street, (110 - 120 C) on the track, sometimes only after 2 laps. Oil temperature on the street is 75-80C, 85-90 track. To validate the theory, I installed a mechanical gauge and attached the capillary tube to the outside of the crossover tube that the sending unit is located on.
Obviously there will be some losses in thermal conductivity of the metal tube, so I took measurements during regular street use to get a baseline for how much lower the mechanical gauge was reading, was around 8-10 degrees. when on the track, it was reading lower by 20 degrees. this leads me to believe the electric gauge is not reading properly. I also confirmed via a infrared thermal gun on the crossover tube.
So, long story short, yes I believe my track temps were excellent yesterday
New water pump, new 3 row fluidyne rad and mishimoto oil cooler here. temps were approaching 230 when driving it hard.
Temp read from autometer mechanical gauge
Stock engine Fox equipped with the Maximum Motorsports catalog. Now I have lots of Trick Flow stickers.
Currently have a flexalite black magic fan. Says it’s good for 3300 cfm.
Maybe the 10 year old electric motor is worn out?
Contour fans do 3500 cfm.

Pricey kit but pretty complete

You'll find many of the less powerful fans see the ratings based on zero restriction meaning being held up in the air with no rad to pull through. Typically, if it draws big amps it moves big air.
Off their website shows my fan draws constant 18 amps

Compared to a Taurus or similar, moves very little air.
I linked this post to Gabe, but I'll share to everyone. Someone off FB shared this info
Not really sure what the 'mods' were but looks pretty good on there.
"2020 Dodge Challenger 18” 3100+ CFM fan fit perfect on my Ron Davis and the factory overflow fits great with a few mods. These are only 3.5” thick, 25 amps and best of all $58 on Rock Auto"
