Last Friday saw the first 2017 Ford GT roll off the line at Mutlimatic in Markham Ontario. This company is a long time Tier 1 supplier to Ford and other OEMs, and have extensive experience with carbon fibre and race car building ... they built the body tubs for the very limited edition Aston Martin One 77 several years back.

CEO Bill Ford is getting the first car off the line, Ford president Mark Fields gets the second one. Ford VP Raj Nair drove the car off the line. The tall guy with the crazy mad scientist hair is Larry Holt, VP of Multimatic.

Awesome! Glad to see them built there. I worked there back in '07/'08 and they were making all of the FR500C competition Mustangs. Cool facility.

Back then there were rumours of a custom complete carbon body for an OEM being built on a night shift...should of clued into that one.
