Would have been nice to see Edwin come back to Toronto. In all honesty I thought it would have been Edwin over Jose...... I figure his agent royally effed up, we had the best offer on the table, but they waited out for more...... well in there situation less. The Bautista deal I think is in our favor, but some could argue it works to each others benefit mutually. For Toronto the option sits well, for Bautista it will weigh heavily on his performance over the season. Go Jays Go!!

I think Edwin did what anyone in his situation would have done. Nobody saw the market going completely dry like it did. If the Jays saw that coming they never would have put an expiry on the offer and quickly moved in another direction. Ultimately it lies with his Agent but really nobody really knew it would play out like it did.

The only way the Jose deal hurts the Jays is if he misses most of the season with injuries. Otherwise it should be good for everyone.

Now 2 weeks to shore up the Bullpen before training camp starts!

I think its not going to be a very good season this year. I think they will be hard pressed to compete with the likes of the Red Sox. I think it will be the Red Sox vs Indians and we all get to watch EE try to make it into the WS. Cubs broke the curse so I dont think they will win it all this year. I can see Boston/Cleveland taking it all this year.

Good Luck Jays! This should be a decent year.

I expect the Sox to take the division, but think we have a strong enough team to compete for a wild card spot
