Any hope of common sense returning to this province has been dashed. Brown has just proven that he's a free-speech hating Liberal.

I don't have much faith in him pulling the rabbit from the hat next election. Wynne has been paving the roads with gold for her government supporters.
As much as I dislike Doug Ford, the PC's almost need an outlier bulldog to just keep hammering the Liberals.

This ship is already sunk. Be years before we can bail it out.

Not sure what the topic of this thread is?

Fledgling PC party?
or
M103 motion to condem "Islamophobia"?

The fact that Brown supports M103.

What does M103 do? Isn't the government already committed to "fight against hatred, discrimination and prejudices". The "particularly against muslims" part is a bit silly, but that's the topic of the week. It could just as easily be any other minority. I don't see the big deal.

The fact that Brown supports M103.
I would be interested in hearing what you think a 'motion' is? And why you think a motion denouncing systemic racism and religious discrimination is a step in the wrong direction?

G-Force nailed it. It's just a bunch of hot air because it's the popular topic of the week. It's not completely unfounded given the recent mass assassination.

Why just protect one religion? Especially one whose followers are responsible for most atrocities committed in the world? I think if any religion needs "protection" it would be Judaism.

Also, I think the timing of said mass assassination is a little convenient.

A motion ment to condem and protect against all hate would not be an issue. But one that speaks mainly of "islamaphobia" isn't right.
One because there is no legal definition of "islamaphobia" therefore it's very vague what it would cover, that's dangerous because it leaves too much to be interprated by, no just the legal system. But by he general public when they jump on the band wagon and start calling for the death penalty because someone says they don't agree with the teachings of Islam.

Two because there are issues with other forms of hate as well. Statistically the Jewish still take more hate crimes than anyone else but other religions are added as an after thought.

It's a knee jerk reaction to a problem that never really seemed to be that big of a problem. Very much like the who can go in a bathroom feasco.

Brown handled this perfectly imo

both M103 and whatever title the Provincial Libs put on their recent motion on the same subject are just fucking bait to see if they can get the far right bible thumpers unhinged

while I won't argue that this whole Islamophobia shitshow has a mission creep feel to it....these are just motions....puffy, feel good shit that doesn't make a lick of difference....we have laws in place to punish people for hate crimes and those laws don't single out one special fairy tale

Brown's comment was he condemns all forms of hate and voted for the motion to pass

done....bait not taken

Brown knows if he's gonna win next year he needs swing votes....and those votes aren't gonna be swinging from the far right

This was just a plot and an attempt to label Brown a racist, which in itself, makes no sense, as Islam is not a Race.
If Brown had've sipped this Liberal elixir, the "Racist Card" would've been the Liberal narrative and smear apparatus for the next election Campaign.

Liberals have formed an alliance with Islam, this is a fact, and it is one of the more hypocritical alliances in political history, but it makes sense, Liberals have little morality and will do anything to hold onto power, to continue implementing their One GOV, No Gender, No Boarders, No Privacy, No Cash, global political vision.

Like the last election in the USA, the next two in Canada; the upcoming Ontario Provincial and the next Federal Election, will be the most important in our young Confederation. Canada is headed right off the cliff, into an Alt-Left, Socialist abyss and the Liberal agenda must be routed.

Brown needs to make the next Provincial election about LIBERAL THEFT, The Economy and the Left-Wing assault on Privacy.
