Just wondering if anyone here is in the Auto Glass business or can recommend a shop preferably in the Vaughan area?

My fairly new SUV with less than 3K on it, will probably need a new windshield. Got a stone chip yesterday on the 400, 10min later that chip turned into an 8-9" crack. I'm hoping a glass guy can at least fill this hairline crack. What an f-ing piss off!

Any help would be great!
Thanks,
Anthony

Idk is that a repair that can even be done ? I've had a chip fixed on my truck but it was a little chip , always knew where the repair was.. wasn't invisible, can't imagine a 8" long crack being filled but I might be wrong . Good luck

Thanks John, I've been reading some places can do crack fill ins up to 18" long. Knowing my luck, I'll need a new windshield.

Usually some glass places will pay the deductible on your windshield repair

Saw your picture, crack looks to extend to the outter edge? Typically (unless things have recently changed) they will not fill a crack that extends to an edge.

I have a pretty good feeling you're right! Most likely it will need replacing.

It needs to be replaced. Windshield is considered structural, don't dick around with your nice new ride.

Call Action Glass, David Storey, good dude, knows his stuff; he did my Fox after the hood flew up.
