For the Fox 5.0 folks looking to do a charging system upgrade, we've put together a package deal on the 130A 3G alternator, wiring connector, and 175A megafuse that are needed. Some additional hardware and heavy gauge wire are also required, but that stuff can be sourced from your local stores. If you do a Google search on "Fox 3G alternator conversion" or "Fox 3G alternator upgrade", you will get lots of good results with tech write-ups and diagrams on how to accomplish this and what small bits are required.
This will include a genuine Ford Motorcraft remanufactured alternator with 2 year warranty, Motorcraft wiring connector pigtail kit, and an OEM Ford megafuse that is used on multiple vehicle lines through the 1990s and 2000s.
Pricing for this package is $239 + HST, which is competitive with what the aftermarket offers, and gives you piece of mind as compared to installing a used part. And this price includes the core charge, so no need to return an old unit for exchange.
