Was just reading that when you posted, R.I.P.

Chris Cornell (http://www.rollingstone.com/music/artists/chris-cornell), a dynamic vocalist and guitarist whose versatile showmanship as Soundgarden (http://www.rollingstone.com/music/artists/soundgarden) and Temple of the Dog's frontman was a signpost of the grunge era, died Wednesday night. The cause of death is under investigation, according to his rep. He was 52.

"His wife, Vicky, and family were shocked to learn of his sudden and unexpected passing, and they will be working closely with the medical examiner to determine the cause," his publicist said in a statement. They also asked for fans to respect their privacy.

I just heard on the radio that it was a suicide. Very sad.

Was listening to Alan Cross talking about it this morning.
Arguably the top most influential grunge/alt bands of the 90's: Nirvana, Pearl Jam, SoundGarden, and Alice in Chains.
Only lead singer Eddie Vedder is still with us.
