The annual Naked Bike Ride returns this weekend, and will be rolling through downtown on Saturday, June 10 to protest car culture and the use of non-renewable energy like oil.
“We face automobile traffic with our naked bodies as the best way of defending our dignity and exposing the unique dangers faced by cyclists and pedestrians as well as the negative consequences we all face due to dependence on oil and other forms of non-renewable energy,” reads World Naked Bike Ride’s website (http://www.worldnakedbikeride.org/).
The ride will be happening on a day forecasted to be sunny at warm, so make sure you bring your sunscreen to protect your sensitive bits that are not normally exposed to the hot Toronto sun (http://dailyhive.com/toronto/toronto-weather-forecast-40-degrees-june).
Riders are encouraged to cover up in elaborate body painting (there will be a professional body paint artist), or bring your own paint, socializing, bike decorating etc.
