I found out that the frame to my beloved 04 Avalanche was on it's last legs. Too bad because everything else was working fine. Still can't believe it happened.

It was a coincidence that my brother-in-law got a newer truck and gave his old one to us. So here is my new DD...2005 Dodge Ram Power Wagon. Not perfect but much better condition than the avalanche.

Thanks Rick and Stephen, yes, it will see Krown soon! Will have to get used to no AWD mode, found it handy in the Avalanche.

GAVE it to you? That's awesome! Those things are still worth some money, and that one looks in pretty good shape. What engine? I love the way those old GM truck drive though, way better than comparative trucks of the time.

^^^Thanks! It's the 5.7 Hemi. And yes, I will also miss the Avalanche ride...this one is much rougher.

Ouch. I don't think my Olds is too far behind your Avalanche. I've already had to patch a small spot that rusted through by the cat.

This is a 3/4 ton truck though, so it's gonne be a huge difference of course. I dunno what happened at GM over the years, they used to be so good and ride like a car, but things have changed and it seems Ram has quite an edge over them for quite a while now. Either way that's a cool truck, congrats.
