Anyone up for a road trip to eastern NY tomorrow?

Hey guys


Short notice I know, it would be nice to have some company along and a backup driver for a 12 hr return road trip to Binghampton NY area tomorrow to pick up an eBay purchase wheel & tire set ... I'd be leaving from Caledon by 6:00 am, making the journey in the Ecoboost work demo. My 3 best buds who I would usually rope in for a trip like this are all not available for various reasons.

If you're up for it, shoot me a pm. Meals will be on my dime, no steak dinner though! LOL

Nope, ended up doing the drive myself. I didn't feel as tired or have to stop for as many pee breaks as I thought I might have to at my advanced age! LOL

Picked up a neat old set of American Racing (back when they were branded as "ARE") 398 series black mesh 3 piece 16x8" wheels for the SVO. They have been refinished pretty nicely, and had a set of fairly fresh Bridgestone RE71R 225/50R16 skins mounted. Perfect size and era appropriate style for the SVO. I have a few pics on my phone only, but here's the link to the auction ... ended up getting them for $900 US, then $140 CAN duty coming across.

Yes, I love me some old school black mesh wheels with polished lips. With the waffle caps and centre nuts on these look very similar to a BBS RS from that era.
