I wasn't looking to buy a new truck but the perfect deal fell into my lap. It's a 2000 F350 V10 5 speed manual. The best part is it has 105,000k and it was never winter driven.

Nice. I cracked the frame on one of those once. We were not kind to that truck...

Great looking truck for being 17 y/o.
What are you hauling with that rig? That’s a lot of truck.

Great score. The stick will be great for hauling and snow.

I will use it to tow my trailer for work, as well as a fifth wheel camping trailer. The plan is to keep it as a summer rug because it is too clean to ruin.

A Ford stick is very very rare, nice find.
Given that Dodge is the only one offering a stick now, I wonder how long they will? My son has our old 98 2500 5.9 with a 5 speed, far less complicated to maintain than an automatic.

Well, I hope you live a very long time :D

The truck is super clean, I actually can't believe how rust free the underside is. I have seen more rust on brand new trucks on the dealer lot. The interior is really clean also.

There is a down side though. A few days before I picked the truck up, the previous owner had a mishap with his fifth wheel and dropped it on the bed rails. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171010/0896f9b3865e78c2f92b831554bddf15.jpg

This is the side with less damage.

I plan to have it fixed before the end of the week though and I will post pics.

She's in the garage for the winter. Still have to fully winterized it, but it been oiled and washed and parked indoors so that's a start.

Only half of this truck would fit in my garage!

looks good, why did you oil it though if your not winter driving it?

It was lightly oiled before, and since concrete is porous and releases moisture. I figured why not.

Thats a good looking truck. I wish my SRW had a body half as good as that. I think they built these trucks from old Datsuns..they rot so fast theyre barely broken in and youre replacing rockers and rear wheel arches

I park my fox on a tarp for this very reason.. every spring when I pull the car out and remove the tarp, it’s wet. Who knows if the tarp is doing anything but peace of mind I guess.

I do the same. I plan to put one under the truck as well

Although I have not done it to this garage yet, my last garage I applied a concrete sealer and then painted it with concrete paint and never had a moisture issue. think materials were around $75

Congrats on the truck. an f-350 Dually is a beast! A caution tho. We have a 2013 F-450 with the v-10. IT will do just about anything. Strong as an ox!
But. Big, big, but! Gas mileage is HORRENDOUS!! 33 litres per hundred kilometres, average. We're filling that thing up every day. It was a great deal when we bought it, but I do believe I'll trade in the spring for a diesel.

I must have gotten a ringer, so far it is as good or better on fuel than my 1/2 tonne 5.3l chev.

Must be...those v10s are known to be god aweful on fuel. Theyre solid as hell but tend to drink heavily.

My 6.0l would get 15-18 mpg if it decided to run.
