I swear to god if the original Bullitt is on a display at NAIAS we're going to need a cleanup in aisle 3...

A nice tribute to the chase scene in the original movie, with Steve McQueen's granddaughter Molly driving the new Bullitt:

Would it be better if he called it Bullitt's car? Or Frank's? Lieutenant Frank's?

If one of the 2 original 1968 Mustang GT 390's utilized as picture cars in the 1968 motion picture "Bullitt" starring Steve McQueen, which popularized the colloquial term "Bullitt Mustang" when referring to a Highland Green 1968 Fastback with exterior trim and torq thrust wheels despite the only officially licensed Bullitt Mustang being limited to 2001, 2008 and now 2019 model year special editions as designed by trademarks of the Ford Motor Company, is on display at NAIAS we're going to need a cleanup in aisle 3...

Colloquial is correct as it is used in ordinary or familiar conversation and not in the literary sense. Trust me pedantic is my middle name, to use the idiom and not speaking literally.

I didn't say it wasn't correct...I just said "I would have used"... sure people use the word bullitt in familiar and ordinary conversation...but it doesn't mean they are using it correctly is all I meant

either way...I had a good Laffs out of that :)

They do. It's called a Mustang GT Convertible.

The new (and previous) edition of the Bullitt is commemorative of the movie Bullitt, where Steve McQueen drove a green Mustang. The Mustang featured in that movie was a coupe. It was not a convertible. So why on earth they would build a convertible version, I have no idea.

If you really wanted to, you could easily make your own car into a convertible Bullitt. Why you would do this, I don't know, but you could.
