Sad I had to actually go digging for the story. Funny how it’s not being pushed by the media

To me this involved more than just the one patsy. That got charged. Wonder what he gained or was promised for him to take the fall.

Wait till sentencing will probably be some excuse for no jail time.

And saddest of all it most likely won’t be enough to oust them in June. Way too many people bought and payed for. Or just brainwashed into submission.

I just read this article also. Looks like he was the sacrificial lamb.
The older I get the more cynical I am becoming.

Google, click the news tab, it's LITERALLY the first story that comes up.

What media are you using/looking at? It's in your face at the top of the page/headline at the Globe and Mail site and guessing it will be prominent in the print edition tomorrow.

G&M has three shared headlines this afternoon:
1. Lac Megantic (not guilty verdict)
2. Toronto serial killer (alleged)
3. Liberals guilty

Didn’t show up on mine until sometime between 4:30 and 5

Yep just double checked. Says reported by CBC one hour ago

So they got there... Eventually.

Yeah - that's bad. Everyone involved in this knew exactly what they were doing...and it's unfortunate the charges were downgraded.

Tyipicaly. Apples news app. And will pursue others as I see fit.

But oh right. I forgot. There is no media biased they report nothing but facts and are always prompt on all stories. With no attempted to direct or opscure things.

she, being the key. Women are perceived to be less capable of crimes and routinely get lesser punishment.

I don't think that was the "legal argument" used in this case. Who was the expert witness they excluded/disallowed from testifying (EDIT: Robert Gagnon)? My guess is that she got off easier since the missing expert testimony resulted in a downgraded role for her in this fiasco.
