Hello I am still trying to select a good cam for my setup. I have been offered a xe270hr which has a max lift of .544 with 1.7 roller rockers.

I have gt40 ported heads, gt40 ported lower intake and Kenne Bell blowzilla supercharger.

The heads have trickflow upgraded springs.

I need the car to pass emissions and obviously not looking for idle issues.

What’s the duration? What pistons?

Stock pistons from what year? Either way that’s too much lift, could use 1.6s...

those pistons will need to have bigger reliefs cut in for that cam. its a really nice cam choice though

I have three other budget options on the table.

1) keep the stock cam with my 1.7 cobra roller rockers

2) B303 with 1.7

3) E303 with 1.7

Most important to me is passing wrest and computer compatibility with my 94-95 computer , a nice sounding lumpy idle is a close third though [emoji3]

None of these are my first choice but all I can afford. First choice would be xe258hr second choice would be tfs stage 1.

E cam with 1.6 RR
OR
Stock cam 1.7 RR

Love the lil baby Trick Flow cam with 1.6's.

I’d say stay stock and use 1.7s, the stock cam is pretty capable and will be the best for passing etest, won’t have much of a lumpy idle and will be done at 5,000rpm, but with a KB you won’t spend much time up there anyways.
E-cam is more suited to the blower though, but that money could be spent elsewhere and really it’s not a huge difference between the E with 1.6 and the stocker with 1.7s imo.
