I'm Upgrading the rear suspension in my 1990 mustang. Currently I have Koni SA Sport shocks, Koni quads, and DECH springs (210-280lbs) I'm moving to a coil-over set up and was pondering switching from Koni's to the MM brand shocks. The Koni's I have will not work with any of the MM coil-over kits(dust cover issues), so I have to buy new shocks anyways. The prices between the newer Koni SA's and MM shocks are comparable... The Koni DA's on the other hand are pretty expensive..lol. I'd be using a similar spring rate in the rear with the coil-overs.

Anyone out there running MM brand shocks or struts that can provide a review or critique..?? I'm looking at the Sport-SP1 or the Race-RA2 versions. Anybody think I should just stick with Koni's??

Here's a link to what Im looking at..

If your sticking with Konis, you simply can not go wrong with D/A version, especially with coil overs. Currently running Fox version D/A on the front of my own car with 475lb springs, works very well (lil aggressive for a street only ride though).
While I have no experience with the new shocks from Maximum, do have their custom valve Bilsteins on the rear, work extremely well, suspect their new shocks will be all that and possibley then some.
