Kennedy and Huntingwood Fire tonight.

First shot is from my driveway as we arrived home from wing night. Parked the truck and walked down for a closer look. OMG, multiple homes on fire translated into huge flames with embers travelling up to the next street north. Hopefully everyone is ok, same hoping no additional fires around the neighborhood.

OMG! That's too close to home bud. When I heard the news on tv I was wondering how close is it to your place.

Burning bits were hitting homes approx 1/3 of the way from source to my place.

Yes news says new two new construction homes involved.
Embers size of a baseball coming down.

While Fire Dept response was impressive from start to finish, Police dept seemed stretched to the max with response. Not enough cruisers / officers to properly block off the roads leading in and around. Didn't help morons either speeding by or others stopping in middle of the road and getting out to look. Same for officers continuously having to chase peeps outta the plaza lot directly across from the fire. Within half hour of initial fire, had a TTC bus and EMS response bus and related units in place to deal with evacuated peeps from surrounding homes, plan between them and fire dept looked seamless from the sidelines.

At my old house, had a McMansion being built several blocks (1km) away. Got the structure up, then sat vacant for a year or so. Then poof! Up in flames.
Found chunks of charcoal wood on my front steps. Must have been a huge fire.
