Everytime I drive under the Gardiner, I wonder if this is possible here?
Actually surprised this doesn't happen more often with maintenance pushed off etc.

Never stop thinking about it when stuck under or going over any bridge.

Remember the bridge collapse in/near Montreal some years ago... 100% neglect.

It's terrifying, I personally have a semi-irrational fear of bridges so this is doing wonders.

From my reading on this it sounds like a comedy of errors. I guess officials warned of an impending problems due to advanced degradation from heavy traffic, there were concerns about it's construction and design, there have been 5 other recent collapses in Italy, and they were actively working to shore up the foundation of the bridge when the collapse occurred.

No word on the Florida bridge

Experts say such investigations can take a year or more.

Never been a fan of driving over or under a bridge. Just thinking about it gives me an uncomfortable feeling.

I remember the Gardner hump - maybe they should stop throwing money at that thing and knock it down...
