I have no problem with some of this, but I'm sure over zealous enforcers will pick on properly modified cars also.

Wow congrats to those Police forces on successfully eliminating all cases of
murder, rape, assault, theft, fraud, vandalism, drug and human trafficking, drunk driving and all property crime. I suppose it's only logical once you've eradicated all crime that poses imminent danger to the community has a true negative impact on quality of life to dedicate resources to such trivial pursuits but I mean got to keep improving right? I just find it odd the headlines about this initiative rather than the absolutely 0 crime rates they have achieved.

My issue with all this is they target small towns and most of the vehicles with pulled plates are lower income who cant afford new vehicles to get to their jobs....has nothing to do with modified cars - the government should focus on making life affordable to all - these small towns have poor to no transit systems - it's a real slap in the face to tax payers to have these people who make in excess of 100 grand a year make life even harder - everything the government does to protect the environment only effects the less fortunate in most cases.... this story is stating that 50 percent of the people in Kingston drive modified cars effing bullshit!

Nothing new. Cops have been targeting 'modified' cars since forever.

When such news articles opens with "fast and furious"...

What are they looking for, glued on wings and bad paint jobs?

So, what constitutes an illegally modified car?
If I replace 20+ year old parts with better than OEM...

I say target dump trucks.

I can’t find a lot of rules that are objective. All I can find for suspension is ensuring wheels/tires don’t contact the body and no body parts touching the ground.

Also... don’t fuck with lights or plates...

Anything emissions is 100% illegal and easy to spot. Mufflers are pretty subjective but they mention Hollywood mufflers and straight pipes... what’s a Hollywood muffler?

How about big rigs? Roaring out of the mills as we speak beltching black smoke and louder than my car ever could be.
