Just saw an ad this morning for some 17 inch 2005 mustang wheels for $250. Eventually, I'll be purchasing a 2004 and these are the wheels I prefer. Are the offset, size and bolt pattern same as the 2004 wheels?

They shouldn't be the same. S197 uses a much different offset from 99-04.

Bolt pattern is the same but I thought the offset was different on 05+

They need spacers I thought to sit more flush with the fender.

Why not purchase the same Bullitt rims that came equipped on the 2001-2004 Mustangs?

Now that you guys say it - sounds right that the offset is different.

Thanks for all the comments, you guys rock! But now he texted me that he made an error and they are from a 2004. Sounds fishy...is there a date on the rims that I could check?

Those appear to be the 2005+ style from the shape and colour of the spokes. The SN95 wheels also used a different centre cap with the tri-bar logo and pony.

As stated those are not 2004 wheels, they will fit but they’ll be too far in and look goofy. The 2001-2004 wheels are much harder to find but look much better than those, even with spacers since the dish is different

Could double check via part number on the back.

Thanks again for the comments. I went to see them anyway but since they are 2005 I did not purchase... even if I could have got them for $150!! The center caps were all damaged, but the wheels looked surprisingly good.

That's because I don't have a mustang yet, lol...I'm always keeping an eye out but since the wheels were local and it's my favorite rim, would have been a good deal had they fit. Whenever the mustang comes back home, I'll purchase the correct Bullitt rims, if it does not have them already. I know there's a 04 sonic blue auto GT out there!!
