How many times have you heard that insult tossed around?

"Nimrod" is the name of Noah's great-grandson, a mighty hunter.
Bugs Bunny called Elmer Fudd a "Nimrod", a satirical insult to Fudd being a terrible hunter.

Bugs Bunny’s reshaping of the meaning “nimrod” is a prime example of how life imitates art. Even if a word’s usage has no basis in fact, if enough people use it incorrectly long enough, it will become correct. In doing similarly, even nimrods like us can continue to honor Bugs Bunny’s legacy.

Maybe everybody else already knew this, but I just learned it today, LOL.

Noah like the guy with the big boat full of animals? how "great" of a hunter can you really be if there are locked up in a giant barge?

Perhaps it was a negative reference originally. Any "great hunter" that kills the last two of anything strikes me as a chump. Let them breed you nimrod

How dare you take my joke and turn it in to a learning experience that makes me come away a little more educated and armed with even more trivial knowledge...
