Pool time I can deal with.

But They have this magic quest where the kids get wands and do treasure hunts. Which the boys are totally into. Waving your wand makes treasure chests open and pictures move.

But half the kids are unsupervised and just run around like mad. But that’s just kids being kids.

But some are being dragged around by parents. Who push the other kids out of the way and step in front of other kids waiting. Been shoved past on stairs and had a guy step infront of the one computer as my son was trying to set his quest and just take the computer over.

It’s a shame the rudeness being taught to the next generation.

Kids are having a blast though.

I have a buddy- basically went through a break up; got back in the saddle and started dating again. I met some of his potentials one was " hot babe" material- he chose the " sugar mommy" lol. Not like 70 yrs old or anything but I think 10 yrs older, anyway he's happy not broke, travels a lot, has a good sized sail boat ( I posted some pics of it in random pic thread I think) and was able to sit himself in an AMG, which no way in hell he could afford himself.

Not surprising - that happens in a percentage of the cases. It also does not cover all the flu strains each season so you can still get one of the others and/or the cold.

When traveling about in yer car when it's this cold, make sure you have a warm jacket, hat and something for your hands n feet. Never know when you could break down of being involved in an incident and have be out in the cold.
Also a good idea to make sure doors to all the rooms in your home are open and if any pipes are on an outside wall inside a cupboard, leave em open when it's this cold to prevent one freezing n splitting. I also tend to leave the furnace fan on at all times n keep temps turned up a hair higher than normal.

Typical Vapour barriers usually 6mil plastic film, have no R value and have no effect on your pipes, your pipes would freeze if there is not enough insulation around them or sections are exposed to non insulated areas.

Last year my pipes froze. When I checked, in my crawl space, found some spray insulation was around the pipes on the warm side but open to the cold on the other side.

Yea, it’s a bitch when they miss or are inexcusably lazy to check these things and then the poor homeowner could potentially have thousands of $ in damages.

I’m not a builder by the way, sales consultant building envelopes / roofing.

Yes thanks DinoZ. I had to request package but they will not cover entire repair cost (percentage/portion)- like wise for entire house line replacement.
Apparently it may seem a lot ( millions) apparently all litigation expenses etc etc - also this is world wide- Apex/kitec was used a lot in u.s.

What sucks is I can’t even sell my home until I replace entire lines- home inspection by buyer - change it out and we’ll talk lol

How old was the gas?

Plug, wire, carb. Likely one of those 3.

Gas is good, Shell 91 with stabilizer. Checked continuity at the on/off key, good. Checked the wires, good. Pulled the spark plug, try starting with it almost touching the block, no spark. Pulled the coil, ordered a replacement. Hopefully the part comes before the next storm. I need to get this machine going as I clean a few driveways in my area.

I didn't... I checked the plug and cleaned it yesterday after the blower shut off. I wouldn't think a plug would malfunction all of a sudden while the blower was being in use.

It’s possable if the porcelain has cracked. Could be discharging to the block when installed. But will still start the electrodes when removed.

Be a quick easy check if your waiting on a coil any way

as long as your getting spark the coil is working - but wear over time my be causing a bit of a miss if the gaps in the magnets are opening up a bit that feed the timing for the spark - that could be hard to rectify or you could be flooding a bit - not too many things to cause the problem but age and wear - maybe a new plug would help

Got a couple pms asking about booster paks. If your going to get one, spend the money on a higher amp model that is sure to have enough amps to start your car at these kinda temps. One below is what Ross got me for my birthday last year, huge punch at 2000amps. If your looking, buy one rated for at least 1000amps, opt for larger like I have if budget will allow. Be sure to use it from time to time and recharge as req'd for longer life.

^^^what gauge are the cables? 2000A x 12V = 24 kW. That's the same power flowing into my entire house!
What is the output amperage of a welder? 200A? So that's 10X the amps of a welder?

I think the 15700J is a more telling spec. That's 4.3 Wh.

4.3 Wh / 24 kW = 0.000018 h = 0.65 sec.
So it can deliver 2000A at 12V for half a second.

ZR
01-30-2019, 10:12 AM
Cables are less vs what you'd expect, run is short so smaller cable is fine. Just like when we've had the 3g alt feed wire discussions, it's about amps vs the run.
With that kinda push, booster pak like that takes it from a barely rolls over n will maybe start to whollly fawk what did you hook up to me and can't start fast enough. Even a dead flat diesel in a hotel parking lot when sledding last year at low temps rolled over with ease hooked to it.

No good way that I can think of to block calls from multiple phone numbers. You could set your phone to Do not disturb and then only allow calls through from people in your contact list.
Don't know how far you'd get with a call to West Jet directly to complain.
If the contact name is the same, but different numbers, you could add them to your contacts and then block that contact. All calls from different numbers with the same contact name would be blocked.
I.E. if all calls come up Unknown or West Jet for example.

ENOUGH ALREADY...........getting 20+ calls a day from free West Jet trip offers. Blocking numbers is no use, calling from different one every time.
Anyone have an idea how to stop?
Shutting phone off is not an option.

Was wondering same thing/ not with WestbJet but collections looking for some dude that owes money. Even changed voicemail to rude “ fuck off already” - parents didn’t appreciate it when they left message

Temps got so cold that one of my windows cracked!
Likely with the walls shrinking in cold, then warming in the sun causing a little shifting the glass couldn't handle it.

Will be contacting insurance since the inside walls, with dry wall returns, and outside walls with stucco will all need to be repaired when window is replaced.
UUGGHH!!

Shutting phone off is not an option.

it's a pain - if I'm at my laptop I google the number or area code to see where its coming from - never answer the 800's - I also only answer numbers I know, most I guess aren't that lucky to not answer random calls - sometimes I save the number in contacts and give it a name so I know not to answer - it's a real pain I try to get more people to email opposed to give my number....

I'm an accountant so had to investigate and learn, but you are correct apparently the glass can be replaced without removing the frame.

Next problem is the manufacturer is in the US and no longer sells in Canada.

you should be able to find a glass company that could fit the existing window with a new E Glass pain - a window installation company may not want to do this and sell you the complete window and frame - but a glass company will - it would have to be measured and more-or-less be custom made - I wouldn't think anyone would carry an inventory on random sizes....

not 100% sure sounds like it wasn't long after leaving Platinum Powersports on Airport outside Clinton. So my guess would be the curve just before Bayfield road, its a bad one and usually gets a car or two every year, but just going off the pic and hearsay. haven't been down that way this week.

Seems there are still some honest people out there.
In spite of new engine and labor done on their dime, sled dealer stepped up to the plate and with no hassle made things 100% right and had me back up and running for the weekend. I was dreading the drive to drop it off after engine failed and the argument I expected but instead it was nothing but smooth sailing. Can not give those guys enough props for how everything was handled.

Same thought here as well but outside spigot has no pressure, hoping just the plunger and not the frost proof body burst...
