My Tassimo is finally on its way out. used daily since i got it as a wedding present a long time ago (ask my wife for specific timeline). Victoria disgraced investment adviser David Michael Michaels has been ordered to pay more than $23 million in fines after the B.C. Securities Commission found he defrauded almost 500 clients, many of them seniors.

Michaels also faces a permanent ban from ever working again in the capital markets.

Despite the massive fine, it's unlikely Michaels' victims will ever recoup their lost money.

The clients Michaels defrauded invested $65 million with him in bogus securities he advised them to buy.

Helen Dubas, one of Michaels' 484 clients said she and her husband invested $100,000 with the adviser. They lost everything.

No criminal charges have ever been laid against Michaels, a former mutual fund salesperson, over the alleged fraud.

Still, Dubas said she's at least happy for one thing.

"He's not going to be able to do this to anyone else," she said.

The BCSC decision noted that "Michaels' business model was highly predatory in nature" and that he instilled trust in his clients then betrayed that trust.

Of the $65 million his clients invested, at least $40 million is lost. Michaels was paid $5.8 million in fees and commissions.

The BCSC also ordered Michaels be permanently prohibited from trading and banned him from acting as an agent or director in work involving the capital markets.

Paul Bourque, the commission's executive director, said the fine levied against Michaels is the second largest in its history.

The largest fine was for $46 million, handed down four years ago against another fraudulent investment adviser Sung Wan (Sean) Kim.

If factory cars have too harsh of a ride for even some of the customers Ford won't do it. They do not want the risk of the bad PR and poor csat ratings that could hurt sales. This is why for years Saleen and Roush and the like were always able to have better suspensions and wheel/tire combos - because the ride that results was the expectation from them; but not the expectation for the factory offering from Ford.

When the snow flys so does my free time. I work for a road maintence company that clears snow in Toronto, most of the 401 from kingston to chatham, 427 top to bottom and most of the 400. Lots of call outs at all hours of the day and night. Last winter I think I only made it out to 1 or 2.

But yes, I agree. It's old and it shows. The updated front end can't hide that. Apparently the Ecoboost engine performs really well tho. The reviews in Motortrend's SUV of the year were very positive.

An all new one (and Expi) is coming next year so hopefully it's significantly improved.

I have the supercab which as been fine but I certainly notice the weight of the vehicle compared to the reg cab. It doesn't feel much if any different than the supercrew I had, really. Just going out with friends/family and/or some parcels, luggage, etc... There is a bit of room behind the seats in the newer regular cabs but it's not much. Like, being single doesn't mean you don't have anyone or anything else in the vehicle, lol. It wasn't bad, ya, but the added space in the supercab is very handy for groceries, my work bag and occasional rear passengers.

Since I drove the car in the salt a bit what should I do ? I was thinking of hand washing it maybe monday morning but it's pretty much suicide (cold)...if I go wash it at petro ill still end up driving over salt and shit on the road...any advice would be appreciated!

Next week appears like it's going to warm up a bit and rain a bunch. Wait till its a little warmer and wash it. My 2006 was winter drivin every year and the underside was really clean. Don't stress out about it too much. Specially if it's been sprayed.

Ultra impressed with myself over the editing of this new episode that will drop on Monday. Took a long time, mostly because my computer is slow as hell. And even though what I've been putting out is a bit on the meh side, I actually thoroughly enjoy this new one.

As much as the ribbing gets to me it also drives me to make them more engaging and entertaining. I appreciate everyone's feedback both good and bad. I liken this to my photoshopping I used to do. I'm slowly learning, getting better and aquiring more knowledge as I go. I'll never promise that my videos will be entertaining, but I can say I'm working pretty hard at it.

No not me, I took the pic, we parasailed last year, this year we're doing some deep fishing and some tubing.

May take the middle boy up Parasailing as he did not go last year...we'll see.

Some diving maybe on the last day. Many beaches are on red flag warning for currents, so there's been no diving going on for the last few days...
