Some stuff happened. Not entirely sure I'm proud of any of it.

I don't agree with what Robinhood did though - not sure who else added similar restrictions. I didn't play although I did unload some stuff at a $1K profit that had previously been underwater and I was waiting for a rebound to unload - this was it. I almost turned around and shorted the same stock (opened an order on my trading platform) but then got busy with work stuff and the market closed. Would have paid me a few grand tax free if I executed....damn. Guess you can't win them all.

Ours was a cluster you know what. Arrived and called number on the sign, person on the phone clearly did not give a damm n proceeded to give a hard time for not using the app n said to go up to the door. Wandered up staying about 10' from the door, person came out and proceeded to give me royal shit for getting out of my truck but did take my p/u order number. I could not have been the only one having a problem as person after person walked up beside me.

I stick by one fact, the virus does not spread itself.
With that as a given, if common sense actually existed, virus would be dead in it's tracks.
Countries with leaders that have some of the above plus the balls to do whats needed have kicked Covid to the proverbial curb.

Not sure. We're still not sure to this day where I caught it. I wear a mask everywhere I have gone, and have only gone to work (where everyone else tested negative when I tested positive), occasional stores for supplies (with social distancing in effect) and no one I had so much as tertiary contact with tested positive.

Just for the life of me, could not get the driverside to "fit". Always did not want to line up with and sit flush with the fender lip. I'd get the back in and the front would pop off, rinse and repeat. Eventually broke out the heat gun and started massaging it with heat and that got it close but still a gap. Eventually cut aa small tab off the tore up one I was replacing and bonded that to the area that would sit flush to make a tab so it would grab the fender and not hang down.

Most of the factory ones fit at least ok (still bitch to get out / back in cause they get hard as a rock / non pliable) while bulk of the aftermarket ones fit ridiculous. Ross has them better figured out vs me though.

Heat gun plus bonding a few small tab on made it fit 1000% better, just was shocked by how bad it was outta the box for something rated 5 Stars on LMR

In a street car that you occasionally plant the skinny pedal down on a long highway or the occasional road course outing, very likely be fine for a while provided you don't dump the clutch on sticky tires too often. If you built it with some beefed up parts would last you even longer as there are guys feeding 500+ lbs of torque in theirs.

Will say though, if you're still eyeing up a motor swap ask yourself what will the car do after swapping that your car doesn't do currently, and is swapping motor the most cost effective route to arrive at that end result.

I’ve owned 12 cars in my 12 years of having a license and not a single one of those cars were cost affective lol well not true, my 96 Honda si was crazy efficient and never died ( accident had 400kms and was still purring like new)

But essentially this is my only hobby these days. The car is just for my enjoyment, that being said I need to tweak my setup to make it run better. The csr puts down power but I just hate my VORTECH SC. Belts slipping and it producing to much PSI for the motor so it’s capped off to not go over 5500 rpm which is stupid IMO and it’s terrible on a hot day which is when I want to drive it.

The way I look at it, I’m spending money regardless. I want the power to hit properly as well as have the daily reliability factor.

Options

1. Fix the car the way it is 3-5k and it’s perfect for daily

2. Get a KB for 7k cause I don’t need the whole kit. After tuning and selling my current SC I spend 7k

3. Beef my tranny up, 1800k, source out a 5.0 5-6k
Purchase some other supporting parts harness if I can’t get it with the motor all that stuff, say I’m At 10k tune it 12k but I have a huge grin on my face abs I can sell my motor and SC to recoups maybe 5k?

I’m just looking at my options. This won’t be a rash decision. I will be collecting what I need over the course of this summer/ winter and maybe do it next year ? Who knows.

The thumper tensioner you will not find a bad reviews...2ish times tension and with high traction vortech pulley you will be good. I am now at 19 psi street car...
And V1Ti entry level race vortech has alot more load than what you have.

Water to Air and Air to Air have the same primary function which is to cool the charge air temperature. Difference is in how they accomplish it which is in name, air to air uses air passing over cooling fins to cool the air charge passing through it, while water to air uses water passing through a heat exchanger to cool the water in the cooler to lower chare air intake.

A front mount air to air intercooler has less moving parts/pieces to contend with than an aftercooler setup like you have but since it relies on air passing over the cooling fins you have to make sure you have good flow to the intercooler while not impeding airflow to your radiator, is more susceptible to boost leaks, can have more PSI drop through the system vs a water to air, and in 2V usually require moving your PS lines a little.

Good to hear about the minimal effects. Interesting thing since most people at my wife's work got each vaccine round on the same 1st/2nd dates - the non-seniors had milder side effect after first shot/seniors had stronger side effect, while the non-seniors had stronger side effect after the second shot and seniors had milder side effect. But overall no issues with the vaccine so far.

Continuing on Chris' mental downward spiral of a rant on truck prices....

So I got REAL bored and decided to experiment.

My current truck is a 2016 Ram 1500 Sport 4x4 w/5.7 Hemi and 8spd. Options are 8.4 display with Nav, Alpine Stereo, front and rear park assist, sunroof, heated and cooled full leather seats, sport performance hood, remote start with keyless go, trailer brake controller and trailer tow, and spray in liner. MSRP was $63,944.00.

If you adjust $63,944.00 for inflation you get $69,692.91 an 8.99% increase per https://www.bankofcanada.ca/rates/related/inflation-calculator/

I built on Ram's configurator, the EXACT same spec of my truck in a 2021 model. Nothing more, nothing less, same basic truck with a facelift, MSRP on that is $74,500. So a $4,807.09 premium over inflation to have the same basic truck just 5 years later. MSRP to MSRP my truck has risen $10,556 or 16.5% near doubling inflation.

I gotta stop having coffee after 3pm...

Simply put I am exhausted mentally from all this shit that is happening in our world. No one seems to give a shit about anything anymore. Just driving on the streets people are doing 100km in a 60 zone or the opposite holds true too, headlights not turned on, high beams on, not wearing a mask when is mandated, people not giving a fuck when you are standing in line to buy essentials.
I am one not to complain but it is getting to me now. I need a break from all of this.

Fuck I need a vacation. That is all.

For me, think getting the car out n getting back to my at least couple evening cruise loops out and around Mosport (not on the track but fuck I wish) will make a dramatic difference in how I feel. Yup pretty regular thing for Ross n I to jump in one of the cars, take 401 E to 115, across top of Mosport then S back to the 401(odd time back roads over towards Oshawa n Hwy 7) n scoot back home. Yes for all the reasons you've stated above.
Be well old man, your ok for a Bimmer guy ya know.

Oh and of course no one thinks instances of tickets issued has anything to do with the unrealistic 50kph speed limits?? For fuck sakes, want to "save the pedestrians", have police enforce rules of the road for them as well. Imagine how few would be hit if they actually used cross walks, waited for a green light / walk signal instead of stepping off the curb when and how ever they please. We pay an outrageous amount of money for cars, mandatory insurance, lic plates and of course the good old taxes of fuel yet in this city, war cars has never been worse. Just try and get across Finch to the 404 without hitting each and every red light. Add to that, bike and bus lanes popping up everywhere. Be different if you actually saw more than a dozen bikes a summer use most of them. City is hemorrhaging money yet that piss away millions on this shiat. Just enforce the current rules we have and most of the issues will disappear.
Ok, feel a lil better now.

Been seeing a number of Mustangs out last couple weeks - fox, SN95, and a few newer style GTs. Saw a white fox vert with skinnies on the front twice in one week, a green stock looking notch on King Rd into Nobleton today laying down rubber from traffic lights. Most of them pretty clean so looked like they were pulled out of storage.

I’ve had a valve ‘tick’ for a while. From the research this dumb fireman has done we figure that it’s one or more of the valve lash adjusters. If you have any other suggestions of what it may be I’m all ears!

On the Mach / early Cobra's, most common noise is from failed / failing chain tensioners or guides and sometimes chains stretched beyond limit. Not to say it could not be lash adjusters, we aren't seeing many fail in Mach's (Cobra's that see poor service intervals is a whole other story).
Feel your pain on pulling the covers off. Hope you went straight to removing hydro boost and master cyl vs some of the methods praised on the net. Sadly, getting them off is the easy part, back on without tugging a seal / gasket out of place is the real trick. Be sure to buy complete V/C kit that includes tube seals and o rings for the bolts.
Gotta ask a question please, any chance your running Mobil 1 or Royal P ?
