Thanks!!!
But yup it’s a replay- broken below grade, held by panels and soft ground; déjà vu.

Plan is to not take out this time- I’ll shift and adjust panels, problem is the cement base diameter they put in is as large as a parking light lot base!

Dig enough to get a slip chain around it and lift it with a engine hoist?

Trick is to lift as vertical as possible.

Or do as I do and use it as an excuse to rent something fun to dig with.

I wonder is you could lag or anchor some heavy duty hooks or eyes into the cement to lift it out.

Digging out and refilling takes way more cement the second time. Or leaves the new soil around the post unstable.

Wife texts me this morning, car is dead. She takes my Mustang to work which she doesn't like, heavy long throw clutch and just not used to it. Figured a light was on inside all night, and the 9 year old battery probably wasn't going to last the winter anyways so I grabbed one. Get home and try to start it before I swap the battery. Everything lights up except the temperature light flashes blue and red. Hmm, that's new and different. Check all the fuses and they are fine. Quick googling seems to be a wiring problem most likely or a dead starter. Try the tap the starter, thank you Subaru for making it easy to access (for real, it's easily accessible) on a faint hope it'll be that simple. It isn't. Check the easy to see wiring and can't see any problems, checked the grounds and they are fine.

Going to find my code reader when the kids are asleep and if that fails it's time to call a tow. Hopefully I can get it dropped off tonight.

Exactly!
I may just dismantle so not to squash anyone and put temp plastic uline till March- to think about it lol.
I’d like to use a charge or explosive this time but with my luck I’d be accused of something else :)

I’m not feeling like manually mixing 20 bags of quickcrete to fill the hole.

Soil very unstable had to do this

New battery in and charged. Also tried with a jump pack. All the same result. Reading online the red/blue blinking coolant light means electrical fault somewhere and the easy to see stuff looks ok and tight. Checked fuses and none are blown. My skill and patience ends about there.

Yes, and it seemed tight and not rusted out. Maybe it's the park/neutral switch although I tried starting in neutral too and ran it up and down through the gears in case that was going bad but no luck.

Got it towed to the shop this morning. I'm hoping it's something simple and they track it down quickly. At least we have 3 cars so both of us can get around for now.

This is the real advice, reason I said what I said was 2V HP costs 2x to 3x times what Supercharged 4V or 5.0 Coyote HP costs. If you wanna tell people you make XXX hp number then get the newer/better motor. If you want a fun street car you can beat on and have a great time with, throw a positive displacement blower on and have a blast.

The whole motor is getting re-done. Blower cams, bored out, bigger injectors. Forged rods pistons, upgraded oil pump. Forged crank shaft. Only thing is I’m using stock heads but items getting new everything.

My motor jumped a timing chain at the beginning of the summer. And the difference between a stock motor rebuild and a forged one was maybe 3k. So I said fuck it.

I even debated selling my blower for now, upgrading the tranny and just spinning the motor harder.

Build focused on boost with lower compression and blower focused cams may disappoint you run N/A, needs boost to make it shine. Combo of forged bottom end plus stock heads (with cams) is screaming for a intercooled baby Kenne Bell plus supporting mods. With that bottom end you can even pulley down and let it scream. Don't get dragged down the rabbit hole reading what KB claim an "otherwise stock" engine will produce with a monster blower on it as your stock heads and exhaust manifolds or small headers will quickly become the restriction that see's it underachieve. They also don't talk about how grossly inefficient a big blower is when it's not spun hard. Building a hot rod that actually performs is about the right combination, seldom if ever does a short cut work out.

Nothing wrong with them, got them last year and then for 2021 AFE came out with their own shorty headers that are similar in design to the Holley Hooker headers, just not as expensive. The design is easier to work with when installing and the inside of the runners have cleaner welds. They look like they’d flow better than the BBK. Just gonna wait for the price to drop below $600 before I order them.

Getting there. I left the door opened while I disconnected the battery so that the window would stay down, otherwise I’d have problems opening and closing the door. When I removed the seat I found $2.35 at the back rail. Must have been from the previous owner as I don’t carry loose change.

27479

Have to loosen 2 bolts on each side that connect the seat and seat back frame together as Ford wedged the leather in between so that it doesn’t loosen.

Yep. Putting everything back together now. Removed the old element. Used a heat gun to heat up the adhesive backing and came off quite easily. Before I put on the new one I put some electrical tape on the back where the previous wire burnt out. I don’t what kind of material they envelop the heating element in, but they should use flame retardant material so it doesn’t cause your cushion to catch fire. Put new hog rings and double them up. Very easy to put them on. Rewedging the material now between the frames. This is time consuming but not very hard to do.

Except I’m not building anything. Just a repair. Seat all put back together. Gonna double check everything, wipe it down with a leather cleaner and back into the car. I’ve already checked both elements for resistance and they’re both fine, you know, just in case.

Yeah I could make a tech article about but I didn’t take pics for everything I undid and redid. Besides, there are 2 YouTube videos that show in detail what to do.

But if anyone wants to reupholster their seats or needs to borrow hog ring pliers, let me know.

Seat is back in the car. Heated seats work and air bag didn’t blow up. Happy that’s over with.

Many thanks to Ed for the part.

Looking for a black Chrysler 300 diecast. I want a 2015 and up (grill and tail lights are different) one in 1:18. Seems only up to 2005. Can anyone help/confirm? If only 2005 available, would be interested I guess.

We have had a similar machine for about 4 yrs. It does make very consistent coffee. So I've heard lol I don't drink coffee. The only drawback to these things is the amount of waste they produce. Evey cup of coffee leaves behind a k-cup of garbage. Seems excessive but until they come up with the next best thing. It's all we have.

When ours quit Went to a French press. No waste. Better coffee. Just requires 10 min instead for 2

Got one as a gift, used the pods that came with it and it's been sitting on a shelf in the basement since then. Would have returned it unopened but my non coffee drinking wife wanted to keep it. I'm perfectly happy setting the timer on my drip machine, coffee is ready when I get up. Add in the amount of waste they produce and how much more it is per cup and it's a no go for me.

I have reusable k cups for my Keurig. Just add the coffee. Dump the used grounds in the green bin, quick rinse and ready to go for the next cup. Fast and easy. Wouldn't use the machine if I didn't have the reusable cups.

I'm a former French Press user. IMO the downside of FP is the coffee grounds remain resident in the vessel which adds bitterness. I switched to Aeropress a couple years back. It's a modified FP that pushes the coffee/hot water through a filter and plunger that you put on top of your mug. Grounds are not resident in the vessel after plunging. Makes for much smoother coffee versus the FP. Makes one cup at a time, which is perfect for me (bachelor). I set my countertop burr grinder to Turkish grind (super fine) and get a higher yield out of my coffee (as in more cups per pound of coffee). FP requires a coarser grind to capture the particle in the mesh. The Aeropress filter is much finer and can tolerate a finer particle.

Hmmmm I saw that and was thinking how well it works and now I know. Thanks!

I'm a coffee addict. I vacationed on a coffee plantation in Panama years ago that grows some of the planets most expensive coffees ( which I didn't find to my taste).

I'm also cheap AF and adverse to creating excess waste (inbuilt excuse to hoard parts). I haven't looked into cup or cartridge style coffee makers but assume the cost per cup to be greater. I compost my grounds and do create a bit of waste with the filters which don't compost well. IMO this is a smaller footprint than cups.

I'd estimate I get 20-30% more cups of coffee per unit of coffee bean by going to super fine Turkish grind. I find the sweet spot in flavor versus price to be Starbucks coffee, favorite blend being Pike. I wait until it goes on sale at Costco and buy 10+ bags at a time. There's certainly better coffee out there, but also more expensive. The Costco espresso blend is also pretty good (red bag) when I run out of sale priced Starbucks

I'm good for 4-6 cups a day.

Another thing to consider is that water makes up the majority of your coffee. I use a simple Brita style charcoal water filter.

I also like the ceremony of grind, boil, press. I can see the utility of fire and forget of cartridge style coffee makers.

I observed the whole process from harvest to roast when I stayed on the plantation. I hadn't considered doing my own roasting. If I didn't have plans on moving I'd agree with you. My next place will ideally have a wood fired boiler for heat and I could see a coffee roaster as part of that system.

I could see sourcing beans being a vortex.

Most coffee growers harvest entire plants at the same time. This means under and over ripe fruit/beans are included with the ripe. Separating from the fruit, drying, and aging all affect the quality of the bean.

BTW, dark roast coffee is the easiest to produce. Lower quality beans and looser roasting control for dark roasts. Light and medium blends require higher quality beans and better roasting control or they'll produce blah results. Of course a blah light or medium can be turned into an acceptable dark.

I still don't have a cup holder in my Foxes.

Are you familiar with the teachers union voting policy that favors one race over another?

Is there a name for favoring one race over another?

Do you think union members (teachers) who favor certain races will inject this policy into lessons being taught?

Have you looked into lessons being taught?

Are subjects being taught geared towards creating productive members of society?

Are schools education centers or babysitting?

Do the students that want in person learning crave education or the socializing?

I like these. 19x9.5 35 offset 23-24 lbs. various websites confirm fitment over 4 piston Brembos. There is a 15 offset wheel but doesn’t look like those would fit.

If you head over to their site, have a fitment chart showing what wheels are an exact fit.

I was looking at Apex EC7 as well 19x10 40 offset. However the spokes flare out just a little then taper in whereas the Enkei Raijin taper from the lip. Prefer more concave look.

Thanks. There’s a lot of pics online of the EC7 so seeing them in person wouldn’t make much of a difference. I understand why the spokes flare out because they need to accommodate larger brakes.

Yeah it depends on which line of rims you look at. I always check the weight of rims I’m interested in. My stock wheels are in the 30s, my winter wheels 18x8 are 26lbs and the Raijin 19x9.5 are 23-24lbs. I used to have 17x8 Wedsports for my Civic. They were 17-18 lbs. and forged.

Clip 1: Coming into the pits for stop #3 of 26... car infront moves farther left then anticipated and a wicked save by my teammate to keep it out of the wall.

Since so little shows after assembly, I've fallen back to the factory black for the block itself, we use grey hammertone on the alum front cover n acc brackets. Exactly how we did engine from my own car. As you can see, hardly any of the block shows, your 2v would be similar. Cool part about the hammertone, at a glance it looks like fresh n new alum. Ross also takes the time to clean, prep and paint every nut, bolt and washer before we install. We have more and more customers that are looking to have the same done to theirs, it's time consuming but makes such a difference in the overall product.

For the most part yes. Most still have a 12v battery and circuits to run stuff like lights and the radio since they are existing off the shelf components. The 12v is needed to "start" the car. I believe the newest Tesla's can charge the 12v from dead if necessary but that's only in the last year or so.

Hard to know with out knowing what has changed with your situation, but many other things should take precedent over car mods, so you gotta decide where on the list your are with your situation and where you place car mods on that same list. If the blower is not on the good side of that list (ie what you can afford) then don't do it
