Took me 1/2 hour to shovel the front walk and the back lane, pushed a neighbour out, and only about 40 mins to get to work. Was plain to see who had proper tires today. Four-wheel drive and I-pikes and a light foot ....was no problem driving.

When I did condo snow removal back in the day, I drove one to clear sidewalks etc. Worked really well to push the snow off the sidewalk which was then plowed by the pickup. Not sure how well they'd work for a driveway or whatever if you get a lot of snow.

Driveway is pretty long.. like 120ft x 25ft wide at the widest point. Back breaking for sure.

The issue would be where would you put the snow. The plow only goes up so high, so to build banks wouldn't really work over a few feet. Snowblower is a better option IMO.

A good size ATV like a 700 with some weight and a 4lo will move a fair bit of snow, but still better plowing with the storm with one as once you get over 6" of wet snow it's gonna be a chore. Since you've already got a pickup I'd look to utilize that first, can't beat sitting inside will you do a push vs. being outside. Ebling makes a back drag blade that's pretty trick, otherwise Fisher, Meyer, Boss all make plows that can be mounted on a 1/2 ton.

TBH any of these options get pricey and cumbersome to store in a hurry, if it's just a standard 2 car driveway a good blower is still the best option.

My only option is to either push it all to the front of the house (which isn’t happening) or to stack it against the fence diving the properties. I usually split the load.

Reason I helped the 2 out wuz saw Mrs struggling & her husband is a shift worker so I’m sure he would appreciate it , other neighbor I was just warming up my machine lol couple practice zamboni laps :D

nope.....hate it

but it's already a pretty tight obstacle course at my place.... clearing snow with a machine turns out to be more work than it's worth

although...if we kept getting dumps like this I might change my mind

Yeah I’m done doing this shit by hand. Had a 15yr old blower that would make the job harder than it needed to be..tossed it last yr.

^^^^ my blower was the same so I bought 6 shovels - one for me and one for each kid still at home - the funny thing is I can only find my shovel...lol that's a true story

When I had the ATV with plow it worked very well I bought a solid HD blade that didn't twist so that helps a lot and make sure you buy a blade wider than your tracks so you don't run over them while you back up. It works well if you have an area to push all the snow to because you won't be able to pile it high.

When I use to use the plow on the bike a the last house..I could get the snow pile up to 10' or so....

Now I use a 54" 23 hp twin kholer snowblower On the front of the Atv... Throws the snow 40 plus feet with little effort.
Today with the shoot all the way up and engine speed on high...the snow just turned back to powder and snowed the neighbors house back in ...lol

Still use plow when it is slushy.

sounds like you guys got more than we did. but still up early spend about an hour and a half to clear around the shop and a couple neighbors. then off to work, back home at about 3 then another half hour to clear my lane out.

snow blower is a must plows work for a while until we get a lot of snow then there is nowhere to put it.

That would be completely useless in the winter. When ever it gets cold the doors either wont open or wont latch shut.

Seems to be more of a 2016 Alumi-truck problem, they revised the latches inside in later year I beleive to have a drip edge or something. At least that's what our fleet guy says, read all about freezing latch issues online.

lmao. My 2016 Did it and it was annoying AF. My 2018 doesn't do it, but I can tell when it's almost doing it...….and I know someone else's 2018 Platinum that does it.

worst part is the replacement part is back ordered.

If it's doing it pull the latch while you are shutting the door and it will catch.

Well my 2018 Crew has had the issue starting wth the rear passenger door. Then it randomly switches doors and sometimes the power locks are frozen but the latches work. Haven't driven my truck in 4 days, I went to go out tonight and 3 of the doors were frozen shut, the rear passenger door opened so my son crawled in and opened both front doors from the inside, then they wouldn't shut, took about 10 tries. The rear drivers door will not open or unlock. you cannot pull the button up either. Then the pass front door lock won't lock by the power button. You have to push the button down. That means you cannot get in the pass front door from the outside unless you pull the handle from the inside and you cannot get in or out of the drivers rear door at all. There has been several tsb's on it and none of them work.

Maybe it’s because I remote start mine..? I dunno.

I did have my windows freeze up on me so they wouldn’t go down in the Tims drive thru, but that’s all.

had the one power lock on the back stop working. dealer fixed it up.

all doors can freeze delt with it many times when I worked in the shops.

my old vw would freeze anytime it got below freezing, doors would open then not re latch, used to carry ratchet straps under the seats so I could strap them shut,

this am was painful to start the trucks, they all started but didn't sound happy about it, then the gas pedal in the delivery truck was sticking.

not sure how then do it out west when its this cold all the damn time.

I guess I shouldn’t complain too much about my Ford van ...mind you ithe most it sits is 8 hrs and then she runs all day . Have had lock issues ,I think it’s a Ford thing

do you let it run by choice or is it company policy?

I try not to unless its really cold, but there is nothing worst than a call talking longer then you expected and coming out to an iced coffee.

Not literally run all day but it starts stops it’s ass off from 7 am till 10 pm during this cold snap lol
