I’m feeling the winter blahs so I thought I would start a fun poll to see what you guys think car vs car.
I tried to pick these cars in the same price range.
Obviously all the other cars would be stock/used with low kms however the 19 GT could be ordered brand new just the way you want it to make it sorta fair.

I tried to go back into the poll and add more cars but I couldn’t....my bad.

Also it should be mentioned they only produced approximately 1800 Z28’s and that thing kicks @ss on a road course if that’s your thing.
It would have been my 2nd choice.

And.....only approximately 1500 Boss Laguna Seca’s were produced for those considering that rare car with the code name “Roadrunner” engine.

The Camaro should have been a ZL1, I think the Z28 is mega coin.

I've not owned a 13/14 GT500 and maybe one day I'll circle back, but the 2019 GT is your greatest bang for the buck. Even N/A they are a weapon!!

[QUOTE=Darkhorse;284189]The Camaro should have been a ZL1, I think the Z28 is mega coin.

$60gs can buy you a Z28 putting it in the same price range.
It’s a wicked car with 505hp, ceramic brakes, incredible suspension tech and 305 tires on all 4 corners!

For the Z/28, Boss and 13/14 GT500 I tried to play on the 2yr run for them and low production numbers.

In saying that I recently read somewhere Ford only produced ONE 2014 GT500 in gotta have it green. This explains it.

Buddyyyyy it's a Mustang club how can you be surprised by the outcome, I'm surprised the Vette received the votes it did but it is more of an older mans car so it would explain it.

As for the Camaro I personally would only own up to a gen 3, since owning this auto Coyote Mustang my views on what cars I want to own have changed big time and I no longer care for any other car but an auto Mustang GT and I don't even have interest in the Italian sports cars any more except maybe to have one on a weekend but not to own one.

I have always liked the C6 Z06’s. They are by far my favourite corvette. If I ever owned one it would immediately get cam’s!! One big issue I have with them is that to drive them you need to sit inside them. I think I would throw up in my mouth a little every time. Super ugly inside. Outside is amazing. I actually had a look and there are a few c6 z06 in the $30’s but then I’m stuck with a 2 seater which sucks when I have a family. I drove my Shelby a lot last summer and kids came with me a bunch. That’s big draw back for me with the Z06 also. I actually would really like a 11/12 Shelby PP car in dark blue. That car is perfect to me but I am very happy with my vista blue 08 and have been working hard at making it into what I want.

WidowrRacing
01-30-2019, 07:20 PM
Yes the C6 Vette has taken a lot of heat for their interior but I think the looks and performance make up for it with most buyers. Swapping the H\C\I makes it that much better as they seem to make over 600hp easily.

I considered getting a 16 GT350, but after reading about a lot of engine replacements (oil consumption) over on svtperformance.com, decided against it. And there are owners of 17's with the same issue. If you go shopping for one of these bad boys, just make sure you check it out well and perhaps get an extended warranty on it if you can.....to be safe.

Yes the GT350R was the winner...but that Z/28 would be a torque monster in comparison especially below 4000rpm.

I can remember talking to a guy who sold his GT500 for a GT350 and he loved the car but hated the power down low and driving it around town...He would drive in 1st gear mostly....he was installing a whipple last time we spoke and that seemed like a mod many were doing with those cars.

theres a reason why Ford went with the cross plane crank in the 2020 Shelby. The flat plane cranks do not like boost from what i understand.Yes they will make power but for how long ? whats the reliability when you start beating on it? i personally would keep that car N/A.

Since owning my S550 GT, I personally don’t think I would go back so for me it was an easy poll, 19 GT and then a very easy 2nd is the Z06...however I would prefer a 2011-2013 as they sorted the valve/lifter issues that affected some 08-10 c6 Z06. Also, not a huge fan of the vette interior but the LS7 makes up for that.

When I was in Utah at the Ford Adrenaline Academy we split track times with the GT350 crew and watching them hoon those bad boys for 2 days had me instantly convinced I must have one (some day). Even the stock exhaust is a thing of beauty under WOT. It's IMO the best mustang Ford has ever built. Some day ;)
