So my counter part at work , we’ve worked together for 31 years, wife goes in for a neck pain 2 tuesdays ago. The doctor was their specialist for many years and gives her a cortisone shot and she goes into a Cardiac Arrest....within the hour she has lost allot of oxygen is declared “Brain dead”. I’ve spent a few days visiting him at the hospital and after tons of tests Drs say she will never have any functions ....this was a healthy 52 year old women - I also have known her for 31 years. Thursday night he removed her breathing tube as she passed away....I spent the afternoon with him yesterday as he has no family/children to keep him company.....man what a kick in nuts this has been but I’m heart broken for my buddy at work....:crying:

That is so sad. Very sorry to hear about your buddy's wife. No doubt he'll need your support. Good on you to be there for him. Another example of how fragile life is and how quickly it can be over. Good reminder to go hug your wife, kids, close friends etc. and tell them how much they mean to you.
