2019 GT - 2k Rattle

Hello all,

Been stalking on this forum for a while, but finally doing my first post.

I have a 2019 Mustang GT PP1 Manual. Starting to get this rattle in the transmission area which appears at 2k RPM mostly in 2nd & 3rd gear when coasting & accelerating. Took it to the local dealer and they are saying its a common characteristic. Just wondering if anyone has this and had any luck fixing it/where did you go to do it?

Driven a couple with noises like you described, if the same, nothing to worry about, once rpm a tic or two higher it's gone.

Honestly can’t remember if mine does it or not. I believe it does make a little resonance from time to time. Don’t worry about it if it doesn’t affect drivability.

I went further and put an MGW shifter in mine that mounts directly to the transmission. A bit more NVH (which I don’t even notice anymore) but driving experience is much improved and no more high RPM lockouts. Best mod I have done so far as it really transforms the car.

For reference my car is a 2017 GT performance pack.
