There is no way this is the real thing. If it is Elon has lost his mind. Nice specs but there is no way this can be the way it looks...

I guess if you only have to pay your designers with juice boxes and candy because they're 6 years old, that generates some cost savings! LOL

I can't believe this is what Musk approved??? Brings to mind that saying "Money can't buy you smarts"...I guess Ford and the other car companies are really worried now, eh??? LOL.

Maybe he's sending it to Mars? One Tesla already went to space.

I think they took the saying "less is more" too seriously.

Don't see the point of this concept so called "truck". Elon must have had a bad batch of weed when he approved this junk.

I thought he lost a bet with Ford, if he lost he had to build a horrible spaceship-looking truck, and if they lost they had to build an electric mommy-mobile but disgrace themselves by using the Mustang name and emblem on it.....they both lost big.

They (the Ford and Tesla) will both sell like crazy and neither Bill or Elon really care what we think.

Maybe I'll get one so I won't get anymore door dents in the GO Train parking lot and with those looks, nobody will steal it.

I wonder if he’s trying to prove a point that it doesn’t matter what it looks like it will sell just because it’s a Tesla!!!

I saw on the news today that Tesla has received 200,000 orders so far for this thing.

And those 200,000 people are reproducing and voting! We’re all screwed!

Truly is an ugly beast. I wonder what people see as the biggest factor in wanting one, clearly its not any of the reasons for a conventional truck.

Ponyryd

^I could tell you the biggest factors
-It’s a Tesla
-It runs on fairy dust and magic
-People crave Greta’s approval
-Our hydro rates aren’t quite high enough yet
-The side glass won’t break
-People are idiots

200000 trucks, that should take them about 10 years to build. ;)

Starting price under $40K(us) If the rest is true, tows 14,000lbs, 500+ mile range and 0-60 in 2.9 sec.

I wonder how many aftermarket "restyling kits" will become available to make them look slightly less gruesome? LOL

Not quite...

$39,900USD = 250 mile range, 7500lbs towing, 0-60 in 6.5s

$49,900USD = 300 mile range, 10,000lbs towing, 0-60 in 4.5s

$69,900USD = 500 mile range, 14,000lbs towing, 0-60 in 2.9s

So I was just thinking about the all SS body on the new Tesla truck and the sledgehammer test and got to thinking about crash tests and crumple zones. I wonder how this child of an Aztec and Delorean will fair in a crash test.
