Good to know that it's possible to swap it though.

Those people (yes, I said it lol) really know how to get shit done right. Why can’t Ford at Dearborn get things right? Oh yes, the bureaucracy at Ford is strong.

The way I read that article, it hasn't actually happened yet, but they are hoping / planning to do so. The Coyote is going to be a tight squeeze in there I think, all engines that have been used in that chassis so far have been inliners.

if I can cram a DOHC 5.4 under the hood of a 94 mark VIII in my garage that used to be a horse barn. then hopefully someone in a proper shop with skills can make this happen.

I'm guessing we'll see a Ranger Raptor here AND a Bronco Raptor.

Lol, we can’t even get a V8 F-150 Raptor. Way to go Ford!

Wait... I’ve heard rumours the new 7.3L will be making an appearance.

In the F-150? I thought it was for the super duty trucks only, as a diesel alternative.
It seems weird to me that Ford would go back to big-inch pushrod tech, after all the years and years of pushing small OHC and turbo engines.

Ford Spokesperson Mike Levine said in an interview in 2019 (Motor Authority) that the new 7.3L fits between the fenders of the Mustang and the F150. Many are speculating that this may mean a V8 Raptor is in the future. It would need some tuning tho because it's down on power compared to the H.O. 3.5L that's in the Raptor (and F150 Limited) now.... 430ph/475tq vs 450/510.

I doubt it will ever happen but you never know I guess. They may be just hyping it up as a swap for people to do on their own.
Toyota said something similar about the new Supra and the old 2JZ.

Even the EB v6 would have made the truck a beast.
