It's an especially sad day for Rock n Roll. Definitely a Canadian Icon. R.I.P.

Terrible news. Not a huge Rush fan, but definitely appreciated his phenomenal drumming skills and always enjoyed reading his memoirs and travel books. He’ll surely be missed....RIP Neil

Grew up listening to them and his drum solos were extraordinarily awesome.

RIP.
Saw Rush live twice in the very early 80's at Maple Leaf Gardens.
Both shows were awesome.

Last I heard was that he suffered from tendonitis which is why he packed it in,but I wonder if that was maybe a front for something more serious like the 3-1/2 year battle with brain cancer that was disclosed today?

I’m a big Rush fan and have seen him a few times. He was very underrated for years as a drummer and I always praised him to be the professor on the drum kit. He was a very private man and went through allot of losses in his personal life. Also an advid motorcyclist and I enjoyed reading his books. RIP professor you were the best on my list and I toasted a whiskey to you while looking at the framed picture I have of the band in my basement.
