Had to laugh, I remember these, bare bones basic, 3 speed, originally no heater

I remember those been trying to find one - thought there was one in Brampton but on closer inspection it was automatic - I believe they where all standard tranny's

Yes all V6 stick trans.
Had at least a couple or three customers back in the day that drove em, one hell of a bargain.

Neighbours across the street had one when I was a teen. I remember the wife not downshifting as she pulled up their slightly inclined driveway, lugging the poor thing in 3rd gear all the way up.

Yup I sure do remember these cars, I was a little kid at the time. Both my dad and the neighbour next door bought one.

I very well remember them. I was into rallying at the time and they became quite popular for serious rallyists. very cheap to buy brand new, lots of aftermarket bits for suspension fuel delivery etc. The engines and transmissions were simple and robust, and were quite reliable even when pushed hard.

Luved it. Back windows didn’t roll down.
Best burnouts ever. Could drive around in 2nd everywhere. Think it was an 80-81
