Haven't been to Motorama in a very long time. Is it still a good show? How long does it take to see everything?

Better off to make a trip to the Detroit Autorama instead which is this weekend. Way more vehicles and much better quality than the Toronto show.

I found that after visiting Autorama for a number of years in a row, that the show was getting a little stale.
Yes the cars going for the Riddler awards were unbelievable most of the time except for one year with the BC car and there was the roof caving in due to heavy rains.
But a lot of the same cars show up all the time in large numbers same old hemis, same old chevies, same old Fxxds. No offence intended but some different off beat cars were there.
So with cost of dollar for shopping and food after, friendly Border Guards, and the additude to Canada by supreme leader, etc I stopped going.
I found that the Canadian shows while not as large did have a impressive array of cars to keep my attention, plus local suppliers to get answers about stuff that was available here.
I found a lot less hassle overall.
Just my opinion.

Good points ... I don’t do Autorama every year, usually once every 3rd year or so. Just thinking that a trip down to Toronto from Timmons for Motorama might be a bit of a disappointment.

Forgot to mention the long line ups at the border, and stupid questions that don't have anything to do with US security, but after there is shopping at Harbour Freight and 20% coupons11

Motorama is still a good event to go with friends and talk cars for the day.
I'm going with a buddy.

I haven't been to a show since Speedarama.
Tend to like the local cruise shows now, but can appreciate the work that it takes to put these cars together.

What line ups? Seriously going into US I usually wait no longer than 10 minutes and have great interaction with the US border guards......Canada is different, just a little longer wait and more interested in collecting taxes than vetting whether I'm a terrorist or not.

Just my experiences.

I stop going for several years now due to the line-ups at Pt. Huron. Usually went on Sunday so may be a lot of shoppers for US malls.
Windsor is out for me due to the drive through our corn belt. Reminds me of too much the farm land drive to Calgary through our Manitoba- Sask.

Heading to Calgary right now, I’ll bring you back some corn.

I only found out who those people were 3 weeks ago from a Calgarian I met in Cuba.

I'm going Saturday about noon with a couple of buddies. I don't expect much but it's not a bad way to help with spring fever.
