Been looking into this & considering going this route.

Anyone have this set up?

Looking for realistic feedback.

Hey Rick,

Street use with maybe an occasional track day.
Still wanna be able to go on a road trip with it & cruise.

I am plateau'd with the car, doesn't excite me anymore.

Would love 400+ at the wheels & some cam eventually!

If 400whp is the goal going with an N/A top end kit on a 4.6 2v might leave you disappointed

Kenne Bell would likely get you to a place you'd fall head over heals back in love with the car and keep you happy for a long time. Price wise with installation and all likely similar ranges too.

I'd make the exact same suggesting. KB kit with intercooler, 400/400 at the tires n smile on your face every mile.

I did a lot of research regarding the TFS stuff.

The Head/cam + everything you need to install that is like $4500CAD.
And I believe the intake is right around $1200CAD

A Kenne Bell blower for a 2v, not polished, is $7250 CAD
So you've got roughly $5700 in the TFS stuff vs. $7250 in a blower.
(this is all Plus tax & shipping & Install & Tune)

There is no chance that a TFS kit will get you 400 horsepower. You'll likely be in the 340-370 range depending on what kit you do as well as if you have ... headers... throttle body... full exhaust.

A Kenne bell car, stock motor, stock throttle body, no headers... will make right around 400horse power.

The other downside to TFS kit is that it kills low end Torque. Unless you RPM the car, it won't be that much different down low as it would be stock.
The pro to the TFS... is that it's freaking cams ! lmao. Gotta love that.
The pro to the KB... it's a KB... the blower whine!
If I was in your shoes, I would spend the extra money and do it once with the Kenne Bell. You can always add cams down the road if you wanted the sound at idle.
Best of luck in whatever you decide.

I have it, race ported from trickflow. See my thread...its a beast to drive. 17 psi boost helps...new best time 10.76.My MPH is better than some 9 second cars. Will be quicker next visit at track as added thumper belt tensioner...was bending/breaking stock tensioner. Airconditioner works great!
