Greetings!

My father purchased a preowned vehicle, but the seller is from the Langley City of British Columbia, and my father is in Toronto. I was the one who opposed this whole deal because I knew he would face issues during shipment and insurance. Seller didn't include the transfer of vehicle, and we have to transport it our own. However, now we are confused between driver delivery and car transportation. I found this article https://www.montway.com/blog/shipping-truck-quote-2/ which refer driver delivery as an expensive option and could also be hard for our used vehicle.

On the other hand, if we go with any car mover service like this https://www.topmove.ca/car-transportation, then they are charging about $400 to $800 for 800km, and I found on the web that the distance between these cities is 3,332km. I don't know how much a car mover is going to ask for this shipping. It would be great if you suggest a reputed car mover with affordable quotes. Similarly, what are your views about open and closed transportation? Should we be cautious regard the exposure of vehicle to weather?

We are shipping the first time that's we need some solid suggestions as a newbie.

Check out TFX, I had my car shipped from Indianapolis to Toronto 10+ years ago and I found the price and service excellent.

Thanks but it is looking like they only transfer specialized vehicles. For example, sports cars, show cars, antique and movie cars etc. Tell me if I am wrong. It would be great if you share rough info about 1000km charges etc.

You are wrong, they will transport any vehicle.
I am not willing to share my costs since it was 10+ years ago and I'm sure pricing is not the same now. Best to contact them for a quote and go from there.

I just called them a week ago about transporting a 63 Avanti from Minnesota to Toronto. IT was around $1500 US. So, to extrapolate 2 grand or so from B.C.
Easy just to call them. I've used them before and they are great.

TFX is a good company with fantastic equipment - it's all they do - you can also ship it by rail and pick it up I believe in Concord area rail yard - a buddy of mine railed a car from Calgary a few years ago for around 1300 $'s

That's correct, my buddy went this route 2 years ago. From Alberta to Concord was about $1000.
