It's official, my Shelby needs to go on a diet. Haha! Amazing how much weight has been added to the Mustang over the years.

I’m curious to weigh the ‘94, see how much over 3,000 lbs it is.

Haven’t been over the scales in a while. Says mine is 2775. Know for a fact that’s off.

My 87 LX hatch with A/C, a 6 point bolt-in cage, and the carpet underpadding removed was around 3250 on the official CASC scales if memory serves. Don't recall how much fuel was in it at the time, that was almost 30 years ago!

Think I'm going to take a trip to our local recycle/dump transfer station in mine to see what it weighs. Will post here when I find out.

Wow 04 Cobra and GT350R are close to the same weight only the Cobra is packing iron block and a supercharger.

I actually read through the article a bit more today ... the list was compiled with published Ford data I guess, doesn't really say. But I certainly question it when for example a 1988 GT hatch supposedly weighs 112 lb. more than the identical 1987 model.

My 04 mustang 3720 lbs with me in it. Just ran a 10.95 in 1/4 mile and best of 135 mph. Ya my car needs a diet to...

1992 LX Coupe 2,775 pounds

3330-2775= 555

COVID pounds?

LOL. I’d like to know where they got the 2775 number from.
I’ve added sfc, torque arm and phb but that’s not 500lbs
