Anyone have experience with the ride-on battery operated cars for kids (eg 24V, 12V)?

My neighbour asked me about them for her toddler but I have no real world experience with them. Is there any difference (other than speed) between 12V and 24V?

Battery life, number of recharges over life of battery?

Reliability of other parts?

These things are almost $1,000 with tax but warranties are 1-year for parts and 90-days for batteries based on a couple models looked at. Curious if anyone has experience over 1-2 years of ownership (ie. are they junk after 6 months of use)?

TIA

Celeste had a 12V Power Wheels Harley when she was little. Two speed with reverse. It was a hand-me-down hand-me-down, probably 20+ years old when she got it. It ran great.

Gave a power wheels to grand kids a couple of years ago. No issues as of yet. No where near $1000 though.

My kids had an old Jeep hand me down that I rewired to run off a 18V drill battery.
Would do wheelies taking off, lol.
