imagine, if you will, walking into a modern car dealership, buying a new car off the showroom floor, with a full warranty and air conditioning, and then driving it to the nearest dragstrip and running eight.nine one seconds at 151 miles an hour.
Well, you don't have to imagine it. this is Dodges last hurrah. the new 'demon SRT one-seventy' comes with 1o25 horsepower and will run sub nines all day long.

Imagine that.

I just watched a vid on it….super cool with 3L blower.
3000 for USA
300 for Canada to be built before saying goodbye to that platform!

Optional parachute right from Dodge…..unbelievable.

I'm surprised with the bold move to full electric coming from Dodge. https://www.motor1.com/news/658069/dodge-challenger-srt-demon-170-debuts-with-1025-hp/

way back in june 2oo2 i took delivery of a mustang svt cobra, with 3 hundred ninety factory horsepower. at the time, it was almost ground-shaking. NOBODY was making that kind of power.
now, 2o years later you can buy a brand new factory hot rod with 1ooo horsepower. amazing.

Dodge definitely came through with all the hype of the last call #7. Now it would be nice to own one.

I wonder how much faster it would be if it weighed 1000lb less.
Isn't the Challenger a tank in the 4100-4200lb weight range?

^Yes, very close to a GT500.

I heard that Challenger sales now are better than when it debuted, they seem to know what they’re doing……

Dodge's entire lineup is outdated and old. Compare their lineup from 2013 to 2023 and its pretty much the exact same cars.

And selling better than when they debuted……key point here is the (outdated) Challenger is selling better than much newer model Mustang…..meaning your point is moot. The fact is Dodge is killing it, and going out with a bang for ICE, while Ford puts a running pony on an electric suv and calls it a Mustang.
