The Autometer gauge for sale conjured an unresolved issue for me.

I made an a cluster for my 93 Fox using Autometer gauges. The fuel gage was a 1/4 sweep and was all over the place with fuel slosh. I thought I could incorporate the stock slosh module and had a convo with Autometer on it but no joy. If I recall it was the change of signal introduced by the slosh module. I ended up swapping in a wider sweep gauge to reduce the magnification of the "slosh".

I moved onto other issues but this is one felt like unfinished business.

Has anyone tackled and solved this OCD issue?

To say I hate aftermarket electric gauges would be an understatement. Oddly enough, usually even the cheapest of cheap mechanical gauges work just fine.

You could always put a capacitor across the meter to try and slow the movements (by slowing the change of the input).

Might take a bit of experimenting to find the right value, probably start with a few uF poly cap and see.

I'll keep this in mind when re-installing my gages (months away). I'll need spoon feeding.
